October 2021: Restraining order Gray v. Arends, settled in February 2022.
January 2023: Gray v. Verbanec, Superior Court 23CV00018, real estate tort. Default judgement in favor of Verbanec after the Grays failed to prosecute in the summer of 2025, with a judgement amount of over $1.2M. Not in debt collection yet, as the Grays are still filing motions.
June 2023: Arends v. Gray, Superior Court 23CV00495, also real estate tort after the Grays violated the terms of the restraining order settlement. Also default judgement of about $800K in favor of Arends, again after the Grays failed to prosecute in the summer of 2025. Currently debt collection (Writ of Execution etc.) in process.
April 2024: Fant v. Gray, Small claims 24CV01197 over unpaid road association assessments, after a year-long history of the Grays and their attorney Krista Ostoich delaying payment. The Grays lost and were ordered to pay over $5K. They appealed in 24CV02235 (documents are included in the link), and lost again, bringing the total to over $6K.
June 2024: Kelley/Becker v. Gray, Superior Court 24CV01665, quit title. Began after a February 2023 cease-and-desist letter from the Grays' attorney with trespass threats, as a quiet title action over easements. Also default judgement in favor of Kelley/Becker, again after the Grays failed to prosecute in the summer of 2025. Judgement amount is about $31K, debt collection starting.
August 2024: Gray v. Fant Small claims appeal 24CV02235, included in the documents from the small claims case above.
August 2025: Gray v. many, Federal court 5:25-cv-06967, failed attempt to remove some state court cases to federal court.
August 2025: Gray v. many, Federal court 5:25-cv-07307, civil rights suit against some neighbors; the list of defendants changes. Dragged on for a long time, due to trouble serving, the Grays bringing in unrelated issues and filing many motions, with about 30 orders by the court. Final judgement against the Grays in July 2026, but appealed, see below.
October 2025: Ostoich v. Gray Small claims 25CV03523, over about $18K in unpaid attorneys fees to the Grays attorney Krista Ostoich. Withdrawn by plaintiff before trial.
August 2026: Gray v. many, 9th circuit federal appeal 26-5187 of the civil rights suit above. Currently at the briefing stage.
